  • 3/4 cup chocolate
  • 1/2 cup Planta margarine
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350 F (175 C) and grease a 8 x 8 square baking pan and line with parchment paper.
  2. Add the chocolate and Planta Margarine in a bowl and microwave until melted.
  3. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar and whisk.
  4. Let it cool down slightly and then add the eggs, one at a time.
  5. Pour in vanilla essence.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder and salt.
  7. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until a stiff batter forms.
  8. Scoop the batter onto the baking pan and flatten it.
  9. Dollop spoonfuls of the peanut butter on the batter and then swirl using a skewer.
  10. Bake brownies for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted through comes out dry.
  11. Let them cool for 20-25 minutes and then slice and serve.
