- 3/4 cup chocolate
- 1/2 cup Planta margarine
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 F (175 C) and grease a 8 x 8 square baking pan and line with parchment paper.
- Add the chocolate and Planta Margarine in a bowl and microwave until melted.
- Add granulated sugar and brown sugar and whisk.
- Let it cool down slightly and then add the eggs, one at a time.
- Pour in vanilla essence.
- In a separate bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until a stiff batter forms.
- Scoop the batter onto the baking pan and flatten it.
- Dollop spoonfuls of the peanut butter on the batter and then swirl using a skewer.
- Bake brownies for 35-40 minutes or until a skewer inserted through comes out dry.
- Let them cool for 20-25 minutes and then slice and serve.
